Word for the Day

Good morning with a word for the day- Matthew 16:23 says, "Get behind me Satan."
The question to ask is can a Christian display devilish characters from time to time? The answer is yes. Jesus told Peter that the character he was displaying was offensive to Him. He also told Peter that was not a mindset that Christians should have. Yes, we all can fall into or under the spell, power, or influence of the devil from  time to time. But it should not be a lifestyle and is to be quickly repented. The devil is always at work just as God is always doing something within the life of a believer. Galatians 5:22-23 gives us the list of the activities of the Holy Ghost, and any attitude or act of character outside this list is a work of the devil. Paul said the attitude or character of a Christian should be displayed within this realm: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Paul said you could have and operate in all of these as much as you want, and when you do, you will not cause any harm to anyone, including yourself. Luke said in Luke 11:13, you could ask for even more of the Holy Ghost if you want to. So the next time your attitude gets out of control, do something about it before it damages your character.
We all can act like the devil in a brief  moment of time, but to live like the devil is another thing.
