Word for the Day

Good morning with a word for the day-
Matthew 3:1-4 says, “In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!’“
John the Baptist was a man of integrity. His conviction outweighed everything else. And he was not concerned about how he looked. The Bible says he was clothed in camel hair with a leather belt. He was more concerned about who he was than what others thought. He came to preach and his integrity was far above anyone else's opinion. He came with a simple message: repent. His integrity would not allow him to be what others thought he should be nor would he preach to please them. His purpose was far greater than anyone else's opinion. He had one agenda, and that was to preach the truth about the kingdom of God.
Many times in our walk of faith we compromise our integrity because of the opinions of others. We compromise God’s message in fear of others’ agendas. Our walk is often influenced by what someone else is saying. Integrity is not a garment to be put on and taken back off. It is the soul of a person; it is to stay on and be worn from the inside out.
May our integrity be seen by others as a garment of praise!
