Good morning with a word for the day-
Hebrews 11:13 says, ‘These all died in faith, not having received the promises.’
Leaders are visionary people. Some say leaders are born that way, and this may be true. For sure, leaders are visionary people. They are those who can see something that is not and believe with all they are that it can be. From building tall buildings to long bridges and even going to the moon and back, they see and dream of the possibilities. That dream is the fuel that encourages them to stay the course, and how to work around problems. Christian leaders are some of the greatest visionaries that have ever lived. They have faith and believe in a place that they will not see until they are there. They believe that others can be there also. Christian leaders are not loners, but yet motivators to others. Their vision and hope of a place they have not been to fill their heart, soul, speech, and mind to the point that their lives are consumed by a fiery idea, and a dream. They spend their life trying to convince others to live the same dream. Hebrews 11:13 goes on to say, ‘But having seen them afar off, were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.’ They were not seeing the real place yet, it is a real place that they could only see in their hearts. To receive such a place can only be done by faith. By faith, they could see and by faith, they could believe. By faith they lived as pilgrims, just passing through, and by faith finally received a promise that is available for all. That kind of faith is a faith that everyone receives when they confess their sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. For He is the author of a visionary faith. Hebrews 12:2 says, ‘Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.’
Can you see it, can you believe in it?
