Good morning with a word for the day-
Philippians 2:5, ‘Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.’
Why do we allow our minds to wander into defeat? Why do we dance in the shadows of despair when we are commanded to have a mind like Christ Jesus? Sometimes I think it's because over the years we have preached or have been taught another gospel, and another god than the one the Bible teaches. We are called by God to be overcomers, more than conquerors, and then our feet shall not slip. Otherwise, our lives would not matter. We are the purpose of God, with the blessings of God. We did not receive a portion, but a double portion of what God has given. We have been forgiven and redeemed. It's high time we get the true mind of Christ Jesus.
In John 19:11, when Pilate said he had the power to crucify or release Jesus, during what should have been Jesus’ ultimate time of fear and despair, His answer to Pilate was, ‘You could have no power at all against Me, unless it had been given you from above.’ He was not then and is not now prideful but mindful of who He is and that He is in total control of His life.
When we are ensnared as a bird caught in flight, it's because we are flying too low. Let this mindset be in you: Never fly too low.
Isaiah 40:31 says, ‘But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.’
