Good morning with a word for the day-
Luke 1:68 says "Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, for He has visited and redeemed His people."
Last week at a revival,we heard a song that says 'I can now go in.' When I saw this verse it reminded me of the song. There may be a lot of reasons why I should not be allowed into heaven. There may even be many that make me think I should not be allowed to go into heaven. But the hope I have is not the person that I am or was nor based upon anyone else's opinion. I will be allowed in simply because I have been redeemed, not by might, or works, or any other thing, but by the blood of my Savior.
Redemption was not my will, but the Father's will. Redemption was not my choice, but it was the Father's choice. Before I was, He chose to redeem me. Oh yes I had a part; it was the simple part of acceptance. To accept I was in need of something I could not do for myself. Even today I have problems with that because I am a doer. I want to fix things, make them work, or repair what has been broken. But one thing I can never fix is my standing with God. He had to fix that at the cross of Calvary. God fixed my broken life!
By faith He redeemed my unworthy life. I can enter into heaven not by my will, but by the will of my Father. For He visited me in my time of need.
I am redeemed.
Ephesians 1:3-14
