Word for the Day

Good morning with a word for the day-
1 Peter 2:11 says, ‘Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims.’
I had the privilege a few years ago to go to Brazil to preach and witness for the Lord Jesus Christ. I truly enjoyed the trip. We were able to lead many to faith in Christ. But, I can say it was great to get back home. Even though I have not been to heaven, I look forward to going. There's something about the idea of being somewhere else that seems to overtake a true believer. It's as if we don't belong here any longer. In Brazil, no matter what, I knew I was going home before long. I knew I only had so much time to do what I needed to get done.
When salvation enters a person’s heart, one should have this sense of urgency: I only have so much time to get done what I have been called to do. To be attached to this world so much that we do not long to go home is contradictory to the Word of God. Sojourners are drawn to a place that only the Spirit that lives inside of them knows is real and true. The Spirit of God has been there, came from there, and longs to be home. The feeling that one does not belong here, and are pilgrims just passing through, does not belong to us, but to the Spirit of God that came from there. He will never be satisfied with this world. He knows that He only has a little time to get the work done that He has been sent to do, then He's going home.
Do not feel guilty about wanting to go home to heaven. It's part of your born-again nature. Just be busy with the work that has been set before you by the Lord.
And leave nothing undone.
1 Peter 2:1-12
