Good morning with a word for the day-
Matthew 21:10 says ‘And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, ‘Who is this?’’ Not many days after Jesus would be on the cross.
I heard yesterday that approximately 2.3 billion people today have not even heard the name of Jesus Christ. That's hard to conceive with all the technology we have today. In Matthew 20 we also find that many had not heard the precious name of Jesus. The people were curious and the whole city seemed to be moved just because of this man named Jesus.
I remember when my heart was moved by this man named Jesus. Not only did He move my heart, but He moved my life. He turned it upside down. There is power in that name! Just like when the whole city was moved by hearing about this man named Jesus, you and your life can be moved by Him also. It can be moved to be something different and better, joyous, with peace and a life of holy living. He can move you from a life of sin to a life of hope. He can move a hardened heart to a heart of flesh and blood that has compassion and fears God. Yes, He is still a mover!
At the end of days with mankind on the earth, the Bible says angels will go to and fro throughout the whole world proclaiming the name of Jesus. All may not have heard at that time, so God in His mercy will spread the Gospel message one last time for all to hear and be moved by that name, Jesus.
The past is the past and the future is the future, but what about now? Have you been moved? Has the name of Jesus moved you? Has He turned your world upside down? If you do not know Him, ask Him into your heart. If you have asked Him into your heart, then ask Him to move you closer to Him, just as when all in the city moved toward this man named Jesus.
Today, in one form or another, we should be moving toward that precious name of Jesus. Because He is our only hope.
