Word of the Day

Joshua 23:14 says, 'Behold, this day I am going the way of the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed.'

This verse can be found among what is known as Joshua's Farewell Address. He was old, had been a great servant of God, and was about to pass away. Just as all great leaders, he wanted to give one more last great encouraging word to the people of Israel. We today should draw strength from these words as we also live in troubled times. 

We should always remember who we are and whom we serve. We should always live a lifestyle of reconciliation back to God. We should live in the affection of a loving God, always stirring up the imagination of our hearts of the goodness of God, and always be enthused in our spirits. We should never starve our minds of God's Word, nor feed my difficulty with fear and doubt, and know that my hope does not rest with or in man. Know what God has said will come to pass and believe that every word that God speaks shall not fail me. 

Feed these things to your soul daily and God will increase the goodness thereof.
